More Asus P835 Video Shows New Interface

Here we get to see some more video of the last Asus device to come around (before they begin releasing devices from their partnership with Garmin) courtesy of PDA.pl . The Galaxy 7, or P835, features a WVGA screen in a slate-like form factor. Rumor has it that the P835 will be able to act as a WiFi hotspot, converting cellular data into a usable signal for nearby laptops and such.

Newspapers, Mags Can Jazz Sites With NCAA Video

Newspapers and magazines looking for compelling video to offer online in the next month, can get help from three stars needing no last name: Michael, Magic and Larry. Denver-based Thought Equity Motion, which has rights to the video vault for the NCAA tournament, is licensing a series of event vignettes for publications to stream on their sites. USAToday.com has signed one of the first deals, allowing it to distribute the shorts and sell pre-roll ads.

Octomom is ready for her close-up - even if the rest of the world is cringing. A videotape of Nadya Suleman delivering her eight children in a California hospital is available for upward of $1 million, according to celebrity Web site TMZ.com . The tape was made with the mother’s consent, although it’s unclear who was running the camera, TMZ said. The site quoted multiple sources as saying the tape was being shopped. The unemployed Suleman, 33, could certainly use the cash for her family of 14.

Judge bans internet video coverage of Bain trial

A High Court judge has banned news websites, including nzherald.co.nz, from publishing video of the retrial of David Bain. In a decision released yesterday afternoon, Judge Graeme Pankhurst said nzherald.co.nz, The Press, TV3, Getty images and Stuff.co.nz have had their applications for video coverage of the trial declined. However, he said broadcasts which have already been aired on television can be run on websites.

People Want Web features, Premium Content on TVs

More than 33% of American households with broadband want Web features for their Internet-connected TVs and set-top boxes, according to a new report from research firm Parks Associates. Broadband households are growing accustomed to viewing video off the Internet, said Kurt Scherf, VP and principal analyst and Parks Associates. Demand for Web and user-generated content will increase, and those desires will influence their CE purchases and service-provider choices.

Apple adds features, drops prices on Macs

SAN FRANCISCO - Apple Inc., the maker of Macintosh computers and the iPhone, updated its desktop models for consumers, packing in better graphics and more memory and lowering prices on some models. The new 24-inch iMac, with twice the memory and storage, is $1,499, the same price as the previous-generation 20-inch iMac, Apple said yesterday in a statement. The 20-inch iMac is $1,199. The new $599 Mac mini adds faster graphics.
